Ranbir Kapoor to play Sanjay Dutt in biopic?

The latest buzz is that Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor will step into the shoes of his senior -Sanjay Dutt.  

Reportedly, the `Rockstar` actor has been approached to play the role of the `Munnabhai` actor in a biopic to be helmed by Rajkumar Hirani. The director had earlier worked with Dutt in the hit `Munnabhai MBBS` and its sequel `Lage Raho Munnabhai`. Apparently Hirani is planning to make a film on the 54 year old. Dutt is currently serving his 42-month jail term in Yeruwada jail in Pune after he was convicted on May 16th 2013 by the Supreme Court for illegal possession of arms in relation to the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case and was sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment.

It would be nonetheless mesmerizing to see Ranbir getting into the skin of Dutt to portray him, and definitely he`ll do great justice to the film, if the rumours turn out to be true.

Jagga Jasoos on rewind mode

Director Anurag Basu to reshoot portions of the film to improve on the results of the first schedule.

Anurag Basu's quest for perfection may see portions of his upcoming film, the Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif starrer Jagga Jasoos, being reshot.

We have learnt that the director wants to improve on some of the scenes he has already canned.

Famous website Mirror had earlier reported that Ranbir had to furiously work out to lose weight to transform from Bombay Velvet's beefy street fighter to a lanky 18-year-old for the first schedule of Jagga Jasoos that took place in-between the ongoing shoot of Bombay Velvet.

Revealed a source close to the production, "Around 20 days of shooting has been completed with Ranbir and Katrina. But Anurag feels that he can do better and will be reshooting some portions."

However, the reshoot will not hamper the upcoming schedule of the film. "Anurag will accommodate the changes in the second schedule without extending it. He knows that after Barfi!, expectations from him and Ranbir have increased and he is determined to make an even better film without any creative compromises," adds the source.

Buzz is, the film is a musical which revolves around a gifted teenage detective's search for his missing father. It will have 20 odd songs composed by Pritam who had also given the Barfi! score.

The film was earlier scheduled to wrap up by May 2014, but now it's release has been pushed forward to May 2015. Anurag can afford to spend some more time on the shoot.

When contacted, Rucha Pathak, Senior Creative Director of Disney UTV, producers of the film, said, "Completely baseless. We are extremely happy with the way the shoot has gone so far, so the question of a reshoot does not arise."

Will Ranbir Kapoor host Salman Khan's 'Bigg Boss'?

It seems Bollywood's current heartthrob avoided a sticky situation with Salman Khan by reportedly declining to host the reality show 'Bigg Boss'.

The reality show has been hosted by Salman for the last four seasons and is very popular among masses as well as classes. However, Salman has made it clear that he is not very keen to host the show. Hence, the makers of the show are looking for a suitable replacement.

Amitabh Bachchan is back with 'Bhootnath Returns'

Here’s something that kids will love for sure - a film that will serve as a perfect treat after stressful exams.

Amitabh Bachchan is back as the adorable bhoot in ‘Bhootnath Returns’, a sequel to ‘Bhootnath’ (released in 2008), which starred the legendary actor, Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla.

The trailer of film was launched Tuesday by the megastar himself in the presence of the entire cast of the film. He said he was thankful to T-Series to have approached him again for the sequel. "I am thankful to T-Series to have approached me for the sequel again. This small kid Parth is the only one who can see me in the film. In this film, he is the hero and I am zero," Bachchan told reporters during the trailer launch.

Unlike the first installment, ‘Bootnath Returns’ will see a poor boy being blessed with the power to see the bhoot, befriending him and taking his help to deal the wrong and the corrupt.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, says he didn`t have the opportunity to share screen space with Ranbir Kapoor, who does a cameo in the film, and hope they can work together some day.

Ranbir has done a cameo but I have not shot with him. He is very popular and I can`t compare myself with him. Hope I get to work with him someday," he told reporters during the trailer launch of ‘Bhootnath Returns’.

Amitabh says he enjoys working with new generation. "I am still learning and for an actor, observation is very important. It has been so long for me in this industry and in every 10 to 15 years there is a new generation coming and I enjoy working with them."


Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Bhootnath Returns’ also features Boman Irani and Shah Rukh Khan among others. It is slated for release on April 11.

Sri Lankan vacation of Ranbir and Kat

Alleged lovebirds Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina were believed to have called it quits after a spat but if the latest reports are anything to go by, then the two are still going strong together.

After a much controversial Spanish vacation last year, RK and Kat are reportedly planning to spend some time together in Sri Lanka. The couple had made desperate attempts to keep their trip to Ibiza hush-hush, but images of the two in their swimming costumes surfaced online, thereby creating much hullabaloo.

Both Ranbir and Katrina have been tight-lipped about their relationship and have categorically denied being in love with each other. But the pictures that emerged after their Spanish trip painted a different picture.

Nonetheless, the two seemingly have made up their minds to let bygones be bygones and plan yet another trip to be with one another amidst their busy schedules.

Katrina is currently busy shooting with Hrithik Rohsan for ‘Bang-Bang’ in Manali and her alleged beau is in Sri Lanka for Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bombay Velvet’.
