After he directed Hrithik Roshan in a superhero film, Krrish, in
2006, it took seven years for Rakesh Roshan to team up with his son again in
Krrish 3 (2013). But if all goes well, the
Roshans might not take that long to join forces again for a silver screen
outing.
In all likelihood, they will work
on a new film before embarking on the next instalment of the superhero
franchise.
When contacted, Roshan Senior
confirms the news, saying, "Yes, we are working on a script right now. Let's
see how it works out. It's too early (to go into details)."
Apparently,
the Roshans' new film won't have
anything to do with superheroes or superpowers like the Krrish franchise.
"Rakesh
wants to take the fourth part of the film to a higher level, and so it's going
to take time. In the meantime, they are trying to work out another film. Since they already have an idea in
place, the story is being fleshed out further by Rakesh. It's going to feature
Hrithik in a completely different avatar," says an insider close to the
project.
If
everything goes as per plan, the actor might start work on the film after Siddharth Anand's Bang Bang.
"Hrithik hasn't green lighted a new film after
opting out of Shuddhi.
Although there are talks of him doing Ashutosh Gowarikar's love story, Mohenjo-daro, things are yet to be finalised," adds the insider.
