Hrithik pulls Bang Bang stunt himself

Earlier this month, it was reported that Hrithik Roshan will have two body doubles for his stunts in Siddharth Anand’s next, Bang Bang. But now, we have learnt that the star has decided to do all the action sequences himself.

“The makers had arranged for body doubles keeping Hrithik’s safety and recent brain surgery in mind. But when he reached Shimla and saw the shots that had been done with the stuntmen, he wasn’t happy. So he’s decided to personally re-shoot those sequences,” says an insider. All the stunts in the action-thriller have been designed by Andy Armstrong (who is also working on The Amazing Spider-Man 2). “Although the body doubles will be available on the sets, Hrithik will shoot all his action scenes himself. The doubles will only be required when ashot is being set up to stand in Hrithik’s place for the cameramen and lighting crew,” adds the insider.

Till date, Hrithik has always shot his own stunts. “He doesn’t like to use doubles. Since all the stunts in the new film have been designed in a unique way, it’s making Hrithik all the more interested in doing them personally. The makers, including the director, are fine with his decision,” adds the insider. Despite repeated calls and messages, Hrithik remained unavailable for comment.
