Do you know that how many years Genghis Khan ruled? It was 21
years. He is called the Khan of the Khans. Of course the “Khans” of Bollywood
are not the descendant of Genghis Khan. But having “Khan” as a title at the end
of their name, they are ruling – not any kingdom but the silver world of
Bollywood. In the assessment of time these Khans of Bollywood have over passed
the reign of Genghis Khan. More than two decades have been passed but the Khans
are still ruling the silver world. And this is why the whole Bollywood stares
at the Khans in the festivals like Eid, Puja, Dewali and Xmas day. There was no
exception for this year also.
For the last few years the viewers of Bollywood movie have been
getting movies of Salman Khan at every Eid. The stream of popularity of Salman’s
movies began with “Wanted” at Eid 2009. After that, in every Eid Salman Khan
came with his movies and hit the Box Office. Wanted (2009), Dabang (2010), Body
Guard (2011) & Ek Tha Tiger (2012) - all the hit movies of Eid since last four
years were starred by Salman Khan. But this year Salman did not come with any
super duper movie. Instead of Salman Khan, King Khan Shahrukh has come this
year by “Chennai Express”. There was a challenge for Shahrukh that if his “Chennai
Express” could touch the record of Salman Khan? To accept the challenge
Shahrukh Khan has arrived by “Chennai express” directed by Rohit Shetty.
In his travel of “Chennai Express” Shahrukh Khan got Deepika
Padukone ones again as his companion. After the blockbuster movie “Om Shanti Om”
(2007), this is the second movie of Shahrukh- Deepika. As the name implies, the
story of “Chennai Express” has a connection with train journey. In the movie
Rahul (Sharrukh) a bachelor of 40, was going from Mumbai to Chennai by “Chennai
Express” to offer the “Chita Vasma” (funeral ash) of his late grandfather at
holy Rameswhar temple. In the journey he met with Meena (Deepika), a Tamil
girl. Later Rahul came to know that Meena was actually daughter of a Mafia Don.
Then the story of the movie proceeded with various suspense, adventure, action
and sweet romance that happens during the the journey by “Chennai Express”.
The songs of “Chennai Express”, directed by famous music director
Visal-Shekhar, have already secured the top place of Bollywood top chart. In
the very first day of its release, “Chennai Express” has earned 33 crore rupee.
This is a record and this record has broken the record of “Ek Tha Tiger” of
Salman Khan & “Three Idiots” of Amir Khan. “Chennai Express” was released
in 3,700 screens of 10 different languages all over the India. This is the highest
exposure for any Bollywood movie ever releaser in the year 2013. “Chennai Express” has already entered into the
new scale of 100 crore club within four days only just after its release.
